The Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring course expands on knowledge and physiological principals presented in the AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course. This course uses a case study approach to focusing on the analysis of maternal-fetal physiology related to complex clinical information and fetal heart rate tracings. The course emphasizes the physiology of fetal-maternal oxygenation, interpretation of tracings, the selection of clinical interventions, and perinatal risk-management principles. An optional knowledge integration test in available.

CNE/CME The maximum number of nursing contact hours that can be earned for this Nursing Continuing Professional Development (NCPD) activity is 8 nursing contact hours

CNE Expires: The NCPD activity expires on January 31, 2028.
Format: One day, instructor-led course

Take if: You’re a perinatal clinician who has completed the AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Coursework, or a comparable fetal monitoring education program and/or who holds certifications or added credentials in fetal heart monitoring.
